Mechanics across Realms

From experimental science to Artificial Intelligence

This colloquium, organized under the auspices of the Spanish Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Society (STAMS, known in Spanish as SEMTA) in collaboration with the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM), serves as a dynamic and multidisciplinary forum for researchers to exchange ideas, insights, and recent advances in the field.

Following four successful editions — Madrid (March 2019), Seville (March 2022), Toledo (October 2023, jointly with the French MECAMAT), and Granada (April 2025, in collaboration with the Italian AIMETA) — the STAMS Colloquia have become a well-established meeting point for both local and international experts, fostering dialogue and synergy across disciplines.

To encourage the participation of young researchers, two Best Poster Awards will be granted, each accompanied by a cash prize and an invitation to deliver a talk at the next STAMS Colloquium.
