How to reach Cuenca from Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD)
Option A — By train (≈ 1 hour once on the train)

From the airport to a Madrid train station
Go to either:- Madrid Puerta de Atocha–Almudena Grandes station
- Madrid Chamartín station
- Taxi: about 30–40 €
- Airport Express Shuttle: 5 €
- Metro/Cercanías (suburban rail) from the airport

From Madrid to Cuenca
- Take a train to Cuenca Fernando Zóbel station (travel time ~1 hour)

Option B — By car (≈ 2 hours)
Rent a car at the airport and drive to Cuenca (about 170 km from Madrid; ~2 hours).
